I’m Spencer van Vloten, a Vancouver-based writer and community advocate with a strong commitment to strengthening our public spaces and neighbourhood life.

I care deeply about building communities that are inclusive, collaborative, and welcoming — especially in the parks, recreation spaces, and shared environments that bring people together.

For advancing accessibility and inclusion in our public spaces, I'm grateful to have received the British Columbia Medal of Good Citizenship, the City of Vancouver Award of Excellence, and to have been named Rick Hansen Foundation Difference Maker of the Year.
